Donna
Reed to be Featured in Forthcoming Paper Doll Book
Paper
Studio Press, publisher of vintage-inspired paper dolls, announces another
star edition, a new Donna Reed paper doll book created by Karen Reilly.
Born in Denison, Iowa, the lovely young woman went to Los Angeles to
go to college and was signed to a movie contract. Her warm personality
led to many roles including the Andy Hardy and Doctor Gillespie
series. She is remembered best as James Stewart's wife, Mary, in Frank
Capra's beloved Christmas classic, It's a Wonderful Life.
In 1954 she won the Academy Award as supporting actress in From
Here to Eternity. For eight years, beginning in 1958, Donna Reed
starred in the eponymous TV show, which won a Golden Globe in 1963 and
was nominated for four Emmys.
This
new paper doll book will include dolls and a wardrobe of fashions worn
by the star throughout her film career. Scheduled for release in 2010,
the Donna Reed paper doll book, is the latest addition to the roster
of stars to be transformed into paper dolls by contemporary artists
for Paper Studio Press, and will be available from Paperdoll
Review, Amazon.com, specialty websites and catalogs as well as selected
stores and gift shops.
